Inaugural Post

Hello all,

This is my very first post on my very first blog, so I'm very new to the whole blogging scene.  The point of this blog is to share images and stories from my time playing The Lord of the Rings Online, a game produced by Turbine.  I have been playing since 2007 and have accrued a large number of screenshots and have had some great experiences, which I hope you will enjoy.

Below is a picture of my main from a few years ago when the level cap was still at 60.

For anyone interested in the game, it can be downloaded and played for free at lotro.com.

  1. It's a free game? Sweet. Definitely followed.

  2. Yeah, it's free to an extent. You can play the game for free, but you're limited to quests from 4 of the available zones. If you want to keep questing you can spend money and unlock new zones, usually at $7 USD a zone. The other option and the one that I use is to pay $10 monthly and have full access to everything. There are other restrictions in place if you're F2P (free to play), like a cap on your in game money, number of character slots, and some other features, but those things can also be unlocked with real world money through the game's store.

It's a very versatile system and allows everyone to at least try the game, and to do so as long as they like.
